Summary 0000118: accented characters not correctly transformed from unicode
Description QString does not return valid latin1 accented characters

steps to analyse the bug
 -- put breakpoint in convertToUnicode (util.cc:326)
 -- try adding accented text

Some progress here?
What do you think about rising priority? This is issue is reported quite often by users in support mailing list.
Is this main problem for proper accented characters manipulation?

Are there any methods to correctly convert from Unicode to "whatever code page is PDF using"? Without that, it would be almost impossible to fix.

I am not sure, but this might be also duplicate of 0000193. The problem seems to be in character -> font encoding
